Eternal: that which is without beginning and end — that which always has been and always will be.

. . . “that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”   (NKJV)
. . . “so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.  For this is the way God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (NET)
. . .”so that whoever believes will in Him have eternal life. For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”   (NASB)

 Reflect

Think about the scriptural text you just read and take from it what the Lord wants to give you. Repeat the text to yourself. Memorize it. Allow it to sink into you.

Respond

Talk to the Lord about what you discovered during your time of reflection. Ask Him to reveal the true meaning of the scripture to you and how you can apply it to your life.

Rest

Finally, simply rest in the Word of God and in His presence. Abide in the Lord and allow Him to abide in you by and through His Word.
